MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Provided Internet consulting services to an international research and consulting firm that lead to the development of an award winning Web site for real estate research. Research was conducted by surveying Web sites that provide real estate demographics, market studies, and other research information. The markets for real estate research information and the databases and products available within the firm were also evaluated. This lead to proposals on how to best develop the client's Web site.
Established a research group with a $1 billion pension fund advisor and served on the investment committee. Developed employment, demographic and supply/demand databases for over 100 national markets. Also created and maintained a library and computerized mapping system. In-house services involved target market analysis for acquisitions and dispositions; market studies, value reviews and property insurance for asset management decisions; cost data for tax appeals, value reviews and property insurance, of acquisitions/dispositions, interfacing with consultants, and marketing to plan sponsors.
Provided research and consulting services to a $2 billion pension fund. Services included presentations at semi-annual board meetings and preparing such annual reports as:
Economic and Real Estate Outlook: Forecasts were prepared through the analysis of economic forces upon real estate, in general, and for selected cities and markets.
Performance Reviews: Analysis of the real estate performance of a $2 billion pension fund by ownership structure, property type, geographic distribution and returns.

Data Services Sub-committee Chairman (within the Research Committee) of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. Conducted a member survey of real estate data sources used. Presented survey results in presentations and reports. Arranged for special prices to members from selected data providers. Made presentations on the use of GIS and data in real estate research.
Chairmen of a committee with a national brokerage firm to direct research services for over one dozen offices. The CEO appointed me to assist our reach group of five in supplementing and reviewing the research services provided to the brokers and clients. From my recommendations and committee acceptance, a national demographic service (InfoMark) was selected that resulted in saving the company over $50,000 annually. City reviews were also enhanced.
Presently developing InRealty.com, an Internet site providing real estate research for both commercial and residential users
. This site consists of the most comprehensive survey of market studies available on the Web, covering some 300 cities (MSA’s) provided by several major vendors. It also covers more general information provided by PikeNet, Yahoo and others. Additional features to the site are being added.
