Mr. L. Ried Schott, President of Schott Consulting Services (SCS) and Managing Director of WebVisers Inc., has over two decades of experience with investments in real estate as well as in the stock and bond markets. Mr. Schott has been active with the Internet by offering web site development and consulting with SCS since 1994. WebVisers owns and operates over a dozen domains, including the InRealty.com family (which includes RealtyStocks, RealtySources, RealtyBooks, RealtyResearch, RealtyMortgages, RealtyTour, and REMFs), operates HomeBuddy.com and Debt.com. WebVisers also provides Web Hosting and, directly and indirectly with SCS, controls over 50 domains.

While a Research Director in the early 1990's, Mr. Schott became an expert using GIS and computerized mapping systems in real estate. He also developed extensive real estate information sources from associations, government agencies and research centers. Most of these are listed in RealtySources. Through WebVisers Inc., a directory of Market Reviews covering some 300 markets by commercial property types, demographics, economics and even residential and general data is provided in RealtyResearch. A specialty niche WebVisers is developing concerns virtual real estate sites for individual commercial properties featuring virtual real estate tours, known as RealtyTour. WebVisers also recently launched RealtyMortgages, for both residential and commercial financing, and Debt.com.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and computerized mapping software are relatively new phenomenons in real estate and investments. Mr. Schott is a pioneer in the utilization of such software, particularly in commercial real estate investments, and has developed strategies for the acquisition, disposition, marketing and administration of real estate using GIS and mapping. He has authored Chapter 7 in the book GIS in Real Estate. This book, as well as over a thousand other real estate publications and related subjects, are available for sale at RealtyBooks.

Mr. Schott publishes a monthly newsletter, RealtyStocks Observer, which began in 1998 and is now sent to nearly a thousand professionals and investors. This newsletter is part of RealtyStocks, which covers over 300 REITs, developers, builders and other real estate related companies, and REMFs, a site for real estate mutual funds. A special report, covering real estate, technology and internet companies, is also available. For an annual membership fee, thousands of links to fundamental, technical and contact data is available to both stocks and funds including studies regarding the top holdings of mutual funds and performance reports.

Mr. Schott originated a regular feature in Business Geographics and GIS World magazines on publicly traded companies involved in GIS and developed the associated BG Stock Index and GIS World Stock Index from 1994 to 1996. From closely monitoring the GIS-related stocks for the monthly columns, Mr. Schott expanded his following of stocks to technology issues associated with communications, the Internet, computer hardware and software, and especially real estate and financial issues.

Mr. Schott's involvement with the Internet and computerized mapping includes speaking engagements with professional associations, trade groups and others. He has also served as a panel member and seminar coordinator on GIS and technology in real estate. Please inquire about Mr.Schott's availability as a guest lecturer or for a consulting assignment.
